Marie catches her tongue, almost revealing her secret, but chooses to reveal only the bare minimum to Adia. "I have an obligation to those I couldn't save when my world died. Giving up and dying would just be a disgrace to everyone else who perished." There's no point in hiding about her world, but Marie is adamant to not let Adia know about what she went through to survive, even to this day.

"Putting myself first is selfish. My efforts have to be towards helping others, so that's why it hurts to lose everything I've fought for."
