The overall impression Loki is getting is of a child that's reasonably practical and wary for his age. You don't see that with every street kid, even though they live a harder life than most. He's curious, but questions, he assumes, will only make the boy warier. Letting him recover will likely loosen his lips more naturally.

He's gone for only a couple minutes, returning with a hooded sweatshirt of his own, a pair of socks, and a pair of brown trekking boots. He sets the latter items by the chair, draping the shirt over the back. "The socks will certainly fit. We'll have to see about the shoes."
