I agreed to be tried for it, and to accept the sentencing, because I had come to understand that what I did was indeed wrong. In point of fact even Ravage will admit that I became a terrible leader for quite some time. After having been sufficiently oppressed, and getting hold of power myself, I'm afraid I went a bit mad, and then when the old government called us monsters for defending ourselves, I'm afraid I determined to show them what a monster really was. Ravage was the calmest of my council and the only one who could talk me down from the worst things. But I stopped listening to him when I didn't want to, and listened to what my old companions from the gladiatorial arena said instead."
